AeroUM & PAS Minho is the Aerospace Engineering Students' Association at the University of Minho, a community where the sky is only the beginning. Our mission is simple: to help every aerospace engineering student reach their full potential. But how do we accomplish this mission? Through events like the Aerospace Engineering Days, company visits, business expos, and others, we fuel curiosity, foster professional dynamism and strengthen the relationship between students and the engineering field.
Given our mission and inspired by EUROAVIA's values of innovation, collaboration, and curiosity, we began our journey towards full membership in 2024. After being accepted as a Prospective Affiliated Society (PAS), we took on the mission to grow as EUROAVIA Minho. As part of this process, we're preparing our first major international event, Fly-In Minho 2026, a milestone that will mark our path towards becoming a fully recognized EUROAVIA member.
The Fly-In Minho will take place from the 22nd to the 28th of June, 2026. This event is open to any student attending one of the universities participating in EUROAVIA. Beyond the previously stated, Fly-In Minho serves a broader strategic mission with several key goals. Firstly, we aim to highlight the country's talent, positioning Portugal as a hub of excellence and innovation in the European aerospace engineering landscape. For this matter, we will foster the development of personal and professional skills through the participation in technical, scientific and cultural activities, while discovering the rich cultural heritage and growing industrial landscape of Minho, visiting the cities of Guimarães, Braga and Porto.
